P0420 4runner. Shes still running fine but I wont pass smog here with this throwing a CEL. Discussion Starter 1 Apr 12 2011. A P0420 Code means that the engine control unit recognizes that the catalytic converters efficiency is below the threshold. Anyone have any suggestions.
